SUPER WEEK #5 AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY
Defending
Late Model track champion Brian Shuey pulled off the move of the
year to cap off a thrilling night of racing at Grandview Speedway,
which also included the Central PA Legends Cars making one of their
semi-regular appearances of the season.

DIAMOND COMPLETES ANOTHER BIG FRIDAY
Billy
Pauch Jr. held off the top-dog in PA Modified racing for a popular
win at Big Diamond, giving the PPB Racing team their first Modified
win ever on another big night of racing in Minersville.

It

The
XCEL Chassis 600cc Modifieds kicked off a rough weekend of racing
with their first Pennsylvania appearance of 2008 at the Big Diamond
Raceway on Friday night.

NEW SEASON UNDERWAY AT BIG DIAMOND
The
rain held off for most of night allowing Big Diamond Raceway to get
their 2008 regular season started on Friday. Duane Howard's streak

ENDURO MADNESS AT MOUNTAIN CONTINUES
Mountain
Speedway presented their second event of the season with much
friendlier track conditions for round #2 of Mountain Madness Enduro
Series. These races are often about survival, but that didn't stop
another barnburner finish to close out a great afternoon of racing
in the Poconos.

MADNESS AT MOUNTAIN KICKS OFF A NEW YEAR
The
first round of the 2008 Mountain Madness series was completed
Saturday afternoon with the running of the Frostbite II enduro at
Mountain Speedway. The typical enduro "free-for-all" combined with
bizarre track conditions formed by a mix of ice and snow from
earlier in the week resulted in one of the craziest events we've
ever recorded.

MUTHA ENDURO COMPLETES 2007 SEASON
The
NEETS Enduro Series held their final event of the year with the
running of the annual Mutha of All Enduros at the Mahoning Valley
Speedway. This event consisted of a 100-lap Trux enduro along with
separate 200-lap enduros for the 4 cylinder and 6/8 cylinder
divisions. This was also the last event covered by Gary Silverman
Productions for 2007.

NEETS FRANKENDURO HITS MAHONING VALLEY SPEEDWAY
The
Mahoning Valley Speedway hosted the NEETS enduro series for the
seventh of eight events this year with the running of the annual
Frankenduro. Three divisions competed on Sunday afternoon followed
by a 31-lap Ladies' race to close out the program.

HOUSE OF THUNDER 5-25s BRINGS DOWN 2007 GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SEASON
Another
large crowd came out to see the final event of the Grandview
Speedway and Thunder on the Hill series season with the annual House
of Thunder 5-25s capped off with a feature event for the URC sprint
cars.
This was also our final dirt track event of the season that we will
be producing videos for. The rest of 2007 will be spent covering a
number of pavement enduro races along with the completion of the
annual season review videos.

DIAMOND NATIONALS 2007 WEEKEND VIDEO
Our
first season of producing racing videos came to a conclusion this
weekend with running of the 2nd annual Diamond Nationals. We have
feature and qualifying event highlights from throughout the two-day

LITTLE CARS FEATURED ON BIG DIAMOND SUNDAY SPECIAL
Sunday's
"Little Car Nationals" at Big Diamond Raceway provided for a unique
show with three divisions that don't race regularly at the
Minersville oval.
The 600cc Modifieds, Legends Cars, and 4 Cylinder stock cars all
competed in the event.

tire and engine rules vanished Saturday night at Grandview Speedway

BIG DIAMOND RACEWAY SUNDAY ENDURO FINALE
Another
exciting event capped off the five race Nutty Buddy's Enduro Series
at the Big Diamond Raceway. The 6/8 cylinder enduro was extended to
150 laps with a nailbiting finish, and a popular Powder Puff event
for the ladies finished out the evening under the lights.

JEFF STRUNK COLLECTS ANOTHER BIG CHECK WITH THIRD FREEDOM 76 WIN
There's
nothing quite like the atmosphere at Grandview Speedway for the
annual Freedom 76 Modified Classic. Just a week after squeaking out
his lucrative sixth track points title, in convincing fashion Jeff
Strunk held off mid-race challenges from invader Ryan Godown and
Coalcracker winner Craig Von Dohren to win his third career Freedom
76 paying $20,000 to win.

BIG DIAMOND COALCRACKER WEEEKEND VIDEO
A
standing room only crowd came out this weekend for the big annual
Coalcracker race weekend at Big Diamond Raceway. Four divisions
competed headlined by the Coalcracker 50 for the Sportsman on Friday
night and an eventful 100-lap championship event for the 358
Modifieds on Sunday. The whole two-day event is available as

TRACK TITLES GO DOWN TO THE WIRE AT GRANDVIEW ON FINAL POINTS NIGHT

of the closest championship points battles in Grandview Speedway
history were settled Saturday night in dramatic fashion to close out
the the regular season. With so much action going on through out the

GRANDVIEW SQUEEZES IN ANOTHER SHOW AS THE POINT SEASON NEARS TO A CLOSE
With
lightning around the race and rain falling, Grandview Speedway
welcomed another first time feature winner Saturday night.
Following a 90-minute rain delay and after nearly all the spectators had left, the Late Models put on another great show to close out another complete racing program in Bechtelsville, PA and break a long winless drought.
The championship battle is as close as it can be for both divisions and will be settled next Saturday for the
final NASCAR points night.

2007 TRACK CHAMPIONS DECIDED FRIDAY NIGHT AT BIG DIAMOND RACEWAY
A
very fast racing surface greeted the competitors Friday night as the
Big Diamond Raceway promotional team completed their second
successful season of operation at the Minersville, PA clay oval with
a great night of racing.
Racing is certainly not over yet for Bid Diamond with the big
Coalcracker weekend coming up this Friday and Sunday night along
with a full slate of unique events throughout the rest of September.

JOHN BLEWETT III (1973-2007)
This
past Thursday, August 16, we lost one New Jersey's finest racing
talents, and more importantly just simply a great man, John Blewett
III.
Coincidentally, one of John's many great drives at Wall Township
Speedway was scheduled to be a new addition to our free "From the
Vault" section of this web site later this year.
The video from the
Tour-Type Modified portion of the 2004 Turkey Derby is now available
